During the day my DSL internet is pretty fast.
But sometimes at night it get REALLY slow worse than dial up.

YET when I go to test my connection speed on the ISP site it says I'm getting over 1 mbps... Then why is it still SO SLOW.

I called my ISP and they said I'm getting good connection they said that I might have spyware on my computer but that is total bull because I reformatted both my PC and my laptop and the internet just sucks sometimes.

Anybody have any ideas whatsoever, please help im pissed.

If you happen to be running Vista on your computer(s), try disabling IPV6 in your Network and Sharing Center.

It's what ultimately got my connection back up and running smooth, and I use to have this exact problem... however, I use Windows ICS to connect 2 computers, and Xbox 360 and a PSP through my computer and then to the modem, so if you use a router and disable IPV6, you may not be able to connect at all.

Worst case, you try it and it doesn't work, all you have to do is enable IPV6 again :D

i used to work in ISP i may help you answer the question. due to night is slow because they did some behind the sence method that don't want their to know about. This called 'bandwidth peering'. Bandwidth is much more expensive then hard disk. Esp. internatinal bandwidth, they are very expensive. So what they do is peering with other ISPs to save money and so at night it is slower
