lol i'm sure a five year old would think that there are little peices of gum lying on a cyclone or something...

How do you not get it? It's just a new storage technology, that aligns the bits on your harddrive perpendicularly instead of laying flat.

It makes it able to have more room on your harddrive, so they an make smaller HDD's, or just ALOT BIGGER ones.

Not as good as the new light HDD's, but certainly more parctical/cheaper.

Reminds me of School House Rocks.

school house rocks ey?

funny way to explain their technology. but it works. althoug i understood their text more than i did the video.

yeah i got it, but its just strange that it was made into a cartoon. i dont know any five year olds who would know wtf it does to have bits perpendicular instead of lying down flat.

you guys take things too seriously, all hitatchi are doing is trying to make technology fun, most people who dont know much about this sorta stuff are too scared cos people are too serious.
its different i give them that lol

Indeed....this stuff is good. At least it makes technical stuff into some fun. I prefer this to hundreds of lines of text outlining the details...when all I need as the end consumer is the general knowledge as to how it works and what benefits it will bring me. Go Hitachi :)

JAN :D

maybe with stuff like this there'll be kids asking their parents for perpendicular data hard drives when they go shopping instead of sweets lol
