Very low fps with laptop

Hey Guys/Girls, I just recently purchased a Dell Inspiron M531R-553S. Basically, I was just trying to use it to play Runescape. However, I am getting 5-10 frames per second. I just do not understand, the game is not graphics intensive at all. I know someone with a worse laptop with an a8/8510G and it gets 40-50 fps.

All the drivers are all up to date. Win 8.1
Windows update is completely updated
installed Java

2.10GHz AMD A10-5745M processor with 4MB cache
1TB SATA hard drive
8GB DDR3L system memory
DVD/CD burner/player
AMD Radeon HD 8610G graphics

Have you tried reinstalling Java?

Ill have to try that, either way i have a gaming laptop on the way now. Weird thing is, when i installed java, the icon didn't come up in the bottom right corner.

There's also a possibility you're in power saving mode when not plugged in that's giving you crappy performance.

Yeah, I just made sure, I installed the proper java for 8.1. So will give this a whirl, however, I have always made sure to switch to high performance mode. I have a feeling it is just how this processors apu is made, it's just not very good.
