Ok. This will be complicated. Bear with me here.

I have three e-mail addresses. two for websites, and one for humans. I have a gmail account and a yahoo account that I only use to sign up for accounts on websites. The other account is on my personal 'godaddy' website, and I only give it out to colleges and people.

It all started when a relative got an email from my gmail account, and it contained just a spam link. I did not know her e-mail address, she was not in the address book, and I dont think she knew mine, but somehow she got an email from me.

Today, my dad got a similar email, except it was from some yahoo account, not mine. HOWEVER, the name that went with the email address was MY name. It was sent under my name but not with my email address.

Now, none of these email addresses have been entered into Outlook. I always just go to the online email inbox.

Only one of these email accounts know my dad's email address, and that's the one that's on my website hosted by godaddy. So I'm guessing that a virus went onto that account somehow, took my contact list, and took my name. Now, it used it's own email account to send spam to the people on that list. Is that possible? And i have NO idea how it got the email address of one of my distant relatives and sent her an email with my gmail account.

I'm really confused about all of this, and I really need some help. Thanks.

GoDaddy was recently hacked (just a few days ago). I don't know details, so I'm not sure of the hackers got email addresses or anything like that.

As far as the Yahoo and Gmail goes, I say change the passwords on both of them, as they may be compromised. Also check the sending options and be sure they aren't hijacked to send via a different email address (in the settings somewhere).
