So I was playing starcraft and I go to save a replay but it freezes the computer which it does maybe 1/4 times i try to save a replay (no biggy). After it freezes, I tell the drive to open so i can take out the cd which then makes it so the comp isnt COMPLETELY frozen and i can then end the task.

Well this time when i did ctrl-alt-delete....everything was UPSIDE DOWN after it alt tabbed so i could go to task manager. so after ending starcraft, i restarted the computer. Everything is still upside down....the mouse is inverted, and the graphics are blocky. nothing like this has ever happened before. its a Dell Dimension 4700 Pentium 4 3.0GHZ w/ HT computer.

Update: After turning it off and back on, windows asked me if i wanted to have them automatically fix the graphics, which they did. The screen is still upside down.

Easy... turning the monitor upside down....

No what you can do for a quick fix is go to your graphic properties and rotate/invert the screen until you can get it fixed. That could be the problem in the first place.... You can try reloading the drivers.... Is it onboard or AGP/PCI-e?

its integrated.

update: ahhhh i get it. apparently it happens when the computers resolution changes, which it does when you alt tab from a game sometimes. it even said it was common among dells integrated cards that support "such rotations".

thank you bumblebee tuna...what the hell is that from? ive heard it somewhere..
