Hey all,
I was wondering if this Video Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814261061

is compatible with this mobo:

This is not my computer i'm going to modify, this one's my dads....that lucky old man XD
He's got a 300 watt psu, and thats the minimum for the gfx card, he also has 5GB memory (i added another Gig into it) and i'm not sure of what processor he has, never got that far into the comp. Still, i don't see why it wouldn't be compatible...but i could be wrong
Any help would be much appreciated

I would not run that card on a 300w PSU. Yeah it meets the bare minimum on paper, but chances are your 300w psu isn't running anywhere near what it claims to be. You can go ahead and try, but an awful lot of OEM power supplies fail without any extra help from running a dedicated card. I'd also like to ask what kind of ram is in the machine now, because if it was 2x2gb sticks, then you may actually be making the machine slower by adding a mismatched stick and forcing the ram to run in single channel mode.

He has exactly what you just said... 2X 2GB DDR2 800's and 1X 1GB DDR2 667.
By the way, is there a minimum/maximum psu wattage? If so, what would it be for this particular mobo? I see the connection types for the psu on his mobo, i just don't see a max
wattage.

By using mismatched ram, you are forcing the faster stuff to run at the speed of the slower stuff. I have 4 gigs of ram, and I have yet to see my system use more than 80% of it. The extra gig is pretty unnecessary and in this case, actually hurts performance. There's no such thing as max wattage fortunately. I have an 850w power supply for example. The average psu calculator says I need about ~620w, that's 230w extra that isn't blowing up my system :P If I take out my GTX 570, then its probably closer to 550w extra, but my system (and power supply) will run just fine.
