video card crapping out?

That, my friend, is a failing video card. Before we talk about replacements, there are a few things we need:

1) Full System specs
2) Age of parts
3) PSU brand/model, most importantly

Before anything else, I would suggest taking the card out of the system, cleaning out its heatsink of dust, and applying new thermal paste. The card may be overheating and having issues. Use GPU-Z or HWMonitor to check your temperatures beforehand.

You mentioned a Code 43 error, so I'd be inclined the think the card is just going faulty from old age. But it doesn't hurt to try.

When it first started I did blow out as much dust from the system, focusing on the card and cpu fan, which did help for a bit.

The computer is a couple years old-
Intel Core 2 duo E8400 3.00ghz
8gb of ram
Corsair 750w psu

As for overheating I thought that might be the original problem, but the card never really went over 80c while I was watching it, and it still crapped out.

I've already got another card coming in the mail, since I wanted an upgrade anyway. I'm just looking for confirmation that it's a video card problem and not the something else.
