video card driver malfunccion orsomethign

well here is the deal i had problems whit my computer hard drive and i got it all wipe out so that means no more backup or factory standarts i know i can get the drivers from asus (i have a FS3v asus notebook) and i did but the only problem is the video card (well besides that for some reasons my keyboard and speakers dosntwork anymore ) the problem is that every time i tryto install the drives for my video card (nvida gforce 8600m gs ) i got an error when i restar my computer and i have to uninstall the drivers for it to fix i have tried the asus versiosn and the nvidia version all of them i am kinda desesperated because i practicaly bought this computer for the video card so can some on please help me ¿ ill really apreciate it (i have to use the upside down interrogation simbol because f my keyboard failing and all XD)

some thing elase when i restar my computer after the instalation of a sure-to-fail drivers the loading screen of the OS (vista 32) i get some weird horizontal lines very weird the come and go very fast i dunno if that means something

i already try that an as i said my lap wont accept those drivers or the drivers from the nvidia site

have you tried un-installing all your drivers? go to your device manager and select your display adaptor. uninstall the driver. repeat the process until device manager tells you that the driver is VGA, as opposed to WDDM v. whatever. after you revert back to teh generic VGA driver, try reinstalling the driver you are wanting, and there you go. it should work.
