Video card duel

Ok, you just won $600 in a local money winning contest :D , and you need a new, high end gpu for your loaded PC. U plan to do major gaming, and with your AMD ATHLON 64 FX-55, and 4 gigs of fast memory, all you need is a video card to enter computer gaming nirvana. What do you pick? I'd go with the 256mb X850 Pro Edition. WHat about you guys? (I only listed the major needs for gaming, ur computer also includes an adequate psu, mobo, ect...)

4gb of memory is just going to slow you down :D

And for the video card Im anything Geforce all the way. I currently use a Evga Geforce 6800GT which is a awsome card specially for overclocking it up to the Ultra series or even succeding it.
 
mmm yah. for a gaming rig 4gigs is retarted. most i could see someone using in ANY game out now is like 2gigs, and thats a select few games.

more isn't ALWAYS better, it just LOOKS impressive.

i'd agree with 2*6800GT's. they are affordable and powerful, not to mention popular:)

No you couldnt. You wont find a FX55 capable mobo that takes 2GB DIMMS.
