Hello everyone. I have a bit of an issue. I know close to nothing when it comes to customizing computers. I know the basics, and a little bit of what is what, but nothing extreme.
Now, I recently found the game Final Fantasy XI, and right when I started playing, I was addicted. Before I start, here are my computer specs so anyone can help me a bit more:
2.60 GHZ
256 MB (need to upgrade to either 512 MB or 1 GB. I have a question about this)
80 GB Hard Drive
Intex Extreme graphics card (Yes, I know, trash. I'm looking to upgrade to any Nvidia GeForce, maybe a 6800, I also have a question about this)
Alright. Here are my two questions...Those specs are clearly not enough to run FFXI on my computer presently. I need to buy some memory and a video card. Here is what I'm looking at.
CORSAIR ValueSelect 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) System Memory - Retail
Now, my PC is a SDRAM 2100, is this a problem that this is 3200, DDR 400?
Here is the graphics card:
eVGA 256-A8-N341-LX Geforce 6200 256MB 64-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X Video Card - Retail
I don't think there is a problem with this, I think it will be able to be inserted in my computer fine...I think.
Sorry for the long post, but I really need help. I'm running out to the store real quick, so if anyone has any questions to help me further, please just wait a few minutes. Thanks in advance guys, I appreciate any help at all.
