video card for laptop.

Hi kazkepox,
It is possible to get external Video card for laptops and Notepads. ViDock Gfx PRO is the recommendable graphic card for Laptops.

Regards,
Mike

About time they came out with something like that... I was about to mention the external USB video cards available now, but they struggle to even do basic 2D stuff :P I'd actually like to get my hands on that ViDock...

Most laptops use integrated graphics which are soldered onto the motherboard and hence not upgradeable

it really depends on the laptop. I'm a dell user and I've found that most of the higher end laptops I've had have dedicated graphics cards that you can change, for example my backup laptop can have a different graphics card, probably my main laptop too though I've never taken it apart. if it currently has intel graphics then it's fairly unlikely that you can get a new graphics card for it, but if it's ATi or nVidia then you may well be able to upgrade. Hope that helps.

usually video cards for laptops are integrated into the motherboard... so youd have to replace the motherboard with a new graphics card integrated on it... which would cost quite a bit.. no basically no.

most graphics cards in laptops are soldered to the motherboard. you might be able to replace it by opening it up and finding it is just held there but who knows?

open up your laptop to see :P

its easier to upgrade your RAM, HArd Drive and PCIe cards than your processor/graphics card
