Video card help

Hello, I am trying to have dual monitors on my computer and I just want to make sure I purchase the correct video card so the monitors can be used at the highest resolution possible. I am currently using a 24" Samsung syncmaster 245BW (1920 x 1200) and am connected via VGA - PC. The monitor I am going to purchase is a 20" 2007fp Dell (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...etail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-4687). I want to be able to run this monitor at 1600 x 1200. The main reason I want this monitor is so that I can rotate it 90 degrees and use it in portrait mode. Below I have listed the specs of my computer which might be useful to those who can help confused: not me) If anyone can provide me with any help at all I would be very grateful. Thanks everyone!

Anyone? I just want to make sure that the card I buy will allow the monitors to work at max resolution. I also don't know if the size of the power supply will be an issue. If anyone can help me out I would be very grateful!

You have a 1080p HD monitor - and running through VGA. You could get a much better picture out of that monitor if you used the DVI from your PC.

I'm far from an expert - so take it with a grain of salt - but I'm pretty sure your Monitor and drivers associated with it - determine what Resolution you can run on your Monitor - rather than your video card.

I think Your video card will give you lower performance at higher resolutions - ( FPS in Gaming ) - so that's the only limitation I'd think of.

I'd let others weigh in before putting your money down for a purchase though - as I'm still learning myself.

Thank you for your response Jamin23! Can anyone out there confirm what he posted please? I can spend around $90-150 on the video card, so if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate them.
