I am attempting to play the sims (part 1) but when the game runs the picture is all squiggly so i assume its the video card that isn't sufficent, im not sure what kind it is, but i obviously know its not good enough. the systme requirements state i need a high color 800/600 2mb pci, or agp with direct draw, i know someone that has a 64mb Video Card, will it work?

I'm guessing its an onboard card. What company did you get your computer from? I think it is possibly just that you have too little RAM.

Im Not Able To Get A Screen Print, But The Game Plays and Everything Works But The Visual Is Very Distorted and sqiggly Like A Television When You Can't Get The Channel, so you think its not the video card?

i think your refresh rate might be too high for the display mode of the moditor, try dropping the refresh rate

how do i do that? I've been having problems accessing different control panel options on this computer because it was given to me from someone, but when i attempt to access the display icon in the control panel it says the that option was disabled by the administrator

you're gonna need to log in using an administrator account, whoever gave you to computer should know the passwords to get you logged in with the account.

Right click on your desktop, click on Properties. Click on the tab with the name Settings, then click on a button called Advanced. From there choose Monitor, then be sure you have "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display". Then you can choose the refresh rate from the "option box" above it. That should be right. That's one of the ways I do it, but I chose to post this cause the other ways are mostly dependant on your graphics card brand.
