video card problem!

Sorry to bring this back up, but as I stated, everything is grand with her computer now.. EXCEPT for her audio. She just informed me that since I replaced it, her audio is out. Any suggestions?

Is the driver installed? Enabled in the BIOS?
 
I know I unhooked a small chord (inside the case) FROM the video card. But was the video card a sound card as well? Because I didn't plug the chord back up. Is that the problem?
 
Okay, I thought the on board sound card was built into the motherboard so I wasn't aware I had to plug that cable back up. I thought it was only for PCI, etc. cards.
