Hey Im having a problem with my video card. The card is an MSI geforce 7900gs. I needed a 4 to 6 pin adapter to get the full "punch" out of the card. It worked fine before I got the adapter but just running out of the pci e slot but since i plugged in the adaptor it wont even turn on. Can anyone please help me?

Adaptor I bought:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16812198011

PSU specs:
AC INPUT 115V ~ 10A 60Hz 230V ~ 5A 50Hz (+3.3V & + 5V Total 250W)
DC OUTPUT +3.3V +5V +12V1 +12V2 -12V +5VSB
MAX A. 34A 40A 16A 17A 0.8A 2.5A

looked like it would've worked. have you tried plugging it into a different 4 pin adapter?

Also, what model is your PSU?

It shows a brand name on the fan of the psu but the psu itself is clear and hard to find a label

Brand: Aspire

It turns out that is just the fan i will keep looking.
