Video card problems... any ideas?

I have an Nvidia 6800, andi think something may be wrong with it.

I was owning Noobs in Counterstrike:source (LOL)... And after about 10 min of play my Computer freezes, not just the screen... So I restart, and the computer finds a vga video controller (yeah weird). So i let it load all the stuff, and see if it will load CS again. It begins to, then immedietly flashes back to the desktop in the 800 x 600 resolution..

So I open the case up, the fans are all spinning. I blow the card of a little dust (hoping it will work).

Well no luck yet, I am going to try to reload the newest driver again and see if that will fix it.

Is there a way to find the temperatures of the GPU? or a diagnotstics tool?

Thx

you can find the temp of the card by going through display properties > settings> advanced > Nvidia Geforce 6800 > (something temperature tab). I'm not on the Dell w/ the nvidia card so i dont exactly know what it's called, but it should be somewhere in there.

coolbits is to oc your graphic card i have the 6800 gt and that runs idle at 54c with a fresh hold of 120c that should give you a idea of wether your temp is ok you will find the temp by right clicking your desk top and selecting nvidea down the left hand side of the program that comes up is the temp monitering tab press on that also the latest drivers are 81.98 to get this again on the left click the top button it should say the neme of your card then click nvidea information then driver update
