Video Card Question

Hi I just have a quick question...

Does this video card : BFG Tech NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX 512MB PCIe 2.0

Unfortunately I could not find a real spec sheet for this Acer model computer. The only one I DID find is from Tiger direct.

This computer WILL NOT be able to run that graphics card. The issue is the 300w power supply that comes with the computer. The computer does have a PCI-E x 16 slot...that's good news.

The BFG 9800GTX needs much more to run than what that computer can offer.

From BFG support page:

- 450W PCI Express®-compliant system power supply with a combined 12V current rating of 24A or more (Minimum system power requirement based on a PC configured with an Intel Core®2 Duo E6750 processor)
- Two 6-pin PCI Express® supplementary power connectors -or- One 6-pin PCI Express® and two 4-pin peripheral supplementary power connectors

Scout is correct.

You would need a power supply upgrade to use that card.

It will physically fit onto your board though.
