Video Card Question

Hello, I am wanting to buy a new graphics card for my PC. The integrated graphics blew out so I am in need of a new card. I am asking you to help me find the best card for my PC in the $100 price range. Here is some additional info about my computer. It has a Intel Celeron D @ 3.33ghz, 2 gigs of RAM, and a 500gb hard drive, and Windows Vista Home Basic. (that's all i know) Another question I have is should I upgrade my RAM?

I'm not an expert, but for a $100 budget I would take a closer look at the nvidia 400 series cards, and the radeon hd 5000 series. They might be a little bit outdated, but for $100 you can find some amazing deals on e-bay. Maybe look for something like a used gtx 460/465/470 or a radeon hd 5830/5850/5870. Hope this helps somehow. (Not sure if your cpu will be able to let you use the potential of any of these cards...)

how about none of the above? your computer is ancient unfortunately, and any modern card will be bottlenecked to the point of losing half your performance. Also, your power supply would blow up and you'd lose more than just your graphics most likely judging by what the rest of your specs are.

I would advise grabbing another gig of ram and maybe an old card like a gt210, hd5450, or 8400gs just to get it running well and do something with the computer then buy a new one.
