video card question

If you put a video into one computer than, take it out of that computer will it still work as good as when you installed it into the first computer?

yes, it will still work fine. The only exception would be if the other computer somehow fried it, which is very very unlikely

if by as good you mean "as fast" and depending on the type of AGP that the board supports (assuming that your using AGP), then it could run slower, so no, it could run slower

*example*
if you put an AGP 8x video card in an AGP 4x slot it will run at half the speed

will it still work as good as when you installed it into the first computer?
Provided you turn the computer off before inserting/removing it

Huh? Who said anything about a second computer??

It might just be me, but I'm pretty sure this makes absolutely no sense ;)

Yes yes but when you said

Its not really possible for the same card to run slower when all you're doing is unplugging it and plugging it back in (the only way you'd notice a difference is if you (a) change the mobo or (b) changed the vid card but since we both know its the same video card it rules out option b)

im not one to argue with you cause your right like 99% of the time.....so i guess what im trying to say is that i was assuming that he was gonna try the card in a different computer.....
