video card questions

hey guys i am looking to update my 8400gts card
my system is a gateway

amd athalon x2 3.0
3g ram
530w power supply
using vista

i am looking at a few dif cards if i need to up the power supply i will here they are pric is kind of an issue as it will determin when i can get the card mainly looking to play the new final fantasy and bad company 2

the gtx460
the nvidia 200 searies cards
or the 9800
 
GTX460 is the best on there, however, what 520W PSU do you have? Manufacturer/model.

What is your total budget?
 
If your looking in the 460 price range.

GTX 460
HD 6850
HD 6870

Like said, what brand and model power supply do you have?
 
before getting any video card, I would change that power supply for something more solid, raidmax aren't very good units at all.

You can save up for both (another $50 will be enough for a GTX460 + decent PSU), or can get a new card+ unit now, with in budget, that is a big upgrade over your current 8400GTS
