Video card questions

From what I've been reading it seems that AMD is the overall best value when it comes to computing, with that in mind. In your opinion what would a nice graphics card be. For info to base this judgment here are the things I will be doing on this computer; AutoCAD design, video editing and gaming. Also I'd like to use HDMI cables for the connections being that they are interchangeable with other devices. Thanks for the time and feedback.

How much money do you want to spend, and what's the rest of your computer like?

AMD is great price to performance, but nvidia has PhysX and it truly is a wonderful thing.

From personal experience with AMD and video editing, the lack of decent GPU acceleration is a pain. I'd get an NVIDIA card because they have CUDA which will help you with your editing and rendering a lot.

Budget really determines what you can get, so without knowing your budget it is difficult to recommend stuff, but something like a GTX 650 Ti or a GTX 660 would be good.
