Video Card Recommendation (RE-POST)

I just researched and found that my mother board:

Model: Intel D946GZIS
Slot: 2 PCI Connector Slot
PCI-E: 1 PCI Express x16 Connector

Therefore, what would be a good Video Card that I can use for games like: Pro Evolution Soccer 6 and CounterStrike Source?

And when i install it, how do I switch to use the video card since I currently have a on board video card

the 8600 gt's are out, they seem like a decent buy.

whats kind of power supply do you have?

if you are buying from within ontario, buy from ncix/directcanada, they both wont charge you pst, so you only pay 7%
the prieces on tigerdirect are high enough

The 8600GT isn't worth it in my opinion, unless you would die without DX10. Either wait for ATi's DX10 cards, or maybe get something along the lines of an X1950XT.

get the 7900 gs

it benches really similar to the 1950 pro, except it consumes allot less power

so you wont need a newer psu most likely

I've got a 7900GS with a AMD 4600+ and 2 gig DDR2. With all settings set to maximum FEAR plays very smooth @ the highest resolution. The price is very good too. I was gonna get the 7600GT but for $30 I got the 7900GS.

Myself and Kornowski have said the same thing about the 7900GS. What could we possibly have to gain by lying!!!? I put all settings on max and the resolution is at max when playing FEAR. It was a surprise that I could do this and have it still running smooth. But ya know what? You go on thinking what you like. With your head up ur a** I really don't think its possible for you to think of anything BUT sh*t.
