Video card reinstall.

Hey Hey.

OK in my previous post [hal.dll and boot.ini] i explained about my pc going to a blnk screen after the windows logon, apparently i will probely need to reinstall my graphic card. but how? and which one do i have?

befire all this happend i had nvidia and ati, dident know what ati were so i just left it.

So how do i reinstall my grhapic driver so i can get back on my other user. Also my sound driver needs reinstalling.


Please help

ok here it goes:

On your desktop, RIGHT-click and select "properties"

CLICK the tab "settings"

And there should be something that says Display: [your monitor] on [your gfx]

And from there, if it is nvidia go to nvidia.com, if ati, ati.com

NOTE: ati.com is also amd.com so don't think your at the wrong site

Well need alittle more info. You have 2 video cards or onboard video and a video card. Which one are you wanting to use? What OS are you using? What motherboard do you have? Download this and install it, it will tell all the hardware you have and let us know.
