Comp screen went blank. Tried rebooting computer but screen was still blank . Checked monitor connection and removed/retightened. Left computer on for 5 minutes or so. Screen display came back on. Next day screen wouldn't display. Left computer on for awhile to see if the screen would display again. It wouldn't. Smelled something burning. Removed video card and noticed fan on video card was hanging from card. New video card needed? Thanks for your help.

Could be either your video card or your monitor. I would test your monitor before buying a new video card just in case. Use another computer or see if your curent one has an onboard video card.
