Video card 'skipping'?

I posted something about my comp 'skipping' on games and some videos (almost like lag except in single player too...there would just be big blips in keyboard and mouse movement). I don't know if it is the card though, because it doesnt always do it, but it's incredibly annoying. Would that happen if the card got too hot? I dont think it has, but just in case. It happened reaaaally bad in the timeshift demo, painkiller demo, and some in the escape from butcher bay demo. I had a little bit of it leak into UT and UT04, but after a restart and booting the game again it did fine. weird. should I call my pc builder? i have a hefty warranty, so if there is something wrong i'll give them a call.

I think you should look into your graphics card temperatures....your comp shouldn't be lagging.

i have, but i dont know what a good temp should be. it's warm, but not overly warm i dont think. the core slowdown threshold is listed as 115C, which is incredibly hot, and I'm running at like 55C (the highest I've seen it at least) right after 3dmark06.

Those temperatures aren't bad at all. GPUs can handle more than CPUs, so that is why the threshold is so high
