Looking for some suggestions for a good compatible PCI video card for a older Dell 2400 Dimension desktop..... 2gb ram, running Win7. Had some intermittent freeze issues (Display driver stopped) with a Nvida PNY GeForce 8400GS. Is there a better driver then the factory win update drivers?

Get this:

It's as cheap as good PCI video cards get, and it's most-likely better than your Geforce 8400 GS card, although it's older. It even has a best-offer option, so you can get it for even cheaper. You also said that you had trouble with your Nvidia drivers: since this is an ATI card, hopefully their drivers will give you better results than Nvidia's.

EDIT: I forgot to say: unless you have a DVI monitor, you're going to need a DVI to VGA adapter. You can find them on ebay for less than $3 from US sellers, and only $1 from Chinese sellers. Although, I don't always trust the sellers' whose location is FREE SHIPPING, HONG KONG. :)

Haha, didn't mean to interrupt the thread, but it's true.
That's why I always check either the "U.S. Only" box or the "North America Only" box. When some Chinese dude's selling a $50 video card for $25, something's wrong. ;) Anyways, to get back on topic, take a look at the auction I listed. It's a keeper! :)
