Video Card Temps?

I have a NVidia 7900GT and I am having trouble with games locking up.The games start off fine but the longer I play the framerates slow down then the game just locks up.I checked my temps on my GPU and it was 82 deg C.Is this normal or too high..

When you start seeing temps over 100C then you have a problem. Besides temps there are other things that can cause slow downs and game locks like having antivirus or other programs running in the background. The video and/or sound drivers could be clashing with something else or need updating. The game itself is also software and can develop glitches.
 
Some have seen as high as 110C without cooking their card. It mainly depends on the card there. Just like cpus the older cards saw higher thresholds. Are you ocing or running it stock?
 
The reference to 110C was for gaiming in desktops with the older AGP models more then anything there. Laptops won't have the cooling you can put inside a case however while 126C would be "hot" not just high there.
