video card to get?

Im looking for a new video card, I currently have a nvidia gforce fx5200..i know its not great lol.

I dont want to spend a huge amount as Im not a serious gamer but I do watch loads of films and do play some games so a better quality video card would be nice. what can you reccomend?
 
dont wana spend much really, about £100, possibly more but preferably not, games are things like need for speed carbon etc, nothing too heavy on graphics really...im managing with the fx5200 so it dont need to be THAT much better...just better..lol

I dont how much these things are in Pounds now but i think a 7600GT would be nice its about 120$ Canadian
 
Do you have an AGP or PCI-E slot? That plays a major factor, since your card could either be PCI or AGP.
 
lol Maybe I should explain...I know bugger all about computers....lol

can a celver fellow such as urself not tell from what I have now? (nvidia gforce fx 5200) lol

the 7600GT does seem quite a good option for about £90...
 
If you had PCIe then I would have suggested you 8600GT.But i don't know how much in pound it cost but in dollars it costs around $150.
 
What about the ATI X850 Pro, they're great AGP cards, or the 7900GS is the best AGP card you can get, I think...
