Video card upgrade or system upgrade?

Hey guys, the title explains, Im not completely sure what I want to do. Im running the comp on my sig, and I was wondeing what would be better, upgrade my video card to a HD3000/8000 series or, upgrade my system to socket AM2/LGA775, currently on 939...

So basically, is my comp outdated for being socket 939? Or do I just need a better video card?

Well I'm running 939. It is out of date but performance is still pretty good for what I want.

I think it would be a good idea to upgrade your mobo and CPU though at least.
 
What do you mean with "at least" upgrade my mobo and cpu, that means upgrade everyting pretty much! lol
 
well you wouldn't have to upgrade your video card but if you were to upgrade anything at all, the mobo and CPU would be best.
 
i would just upgrade to the 8800GT for now and at a later date wen you feel its definatly time for an upgrade then you could replace the mobo and cpu.
