Video Card Upgrade

How does the 4870 compare to everything on the market though? 9800GTX vs 4870? Or how about 8800GTS 512mb SLi (G92) vs those cards individually?

I'm looking to get a video card upgrade and the 4870 definitely seems to be the best option.

I have a single 8800GTS 512mb card at the moment. It seems that getting a single ATI 4870 for like $280 is the best thing to do right now.

ATI 4870 vs GTX 280 as well
 
well the 4870 will destroy the cards you just named i think the only card thats better is the gtx 280 other wise totally recommend the 4870 in my opinion i think that getting to sli cards is not worth it

So i've been reading... the 4870 looks like the deal that the 8800GTS was about 6 months ago. I think I might have to pick this thing up. :-)
