Video Card Upgrade

im looking for some suggestions/feedback on a new card for my rig. something good for streaming and newer games.

AMD A10-7850k APU 3.7ghz
Radeon R7 2gig
16gig Corsair RAM
1 TB WD HD.

At minimum, I would suggest an R9 270X

Thinking about the R9 290x or the 280x my only concern for upgrading to a gpu is the 1 6 and 1 8 prong connectors and power supply size. My pc was prebuilt from ibuypower and I've read that they come with either 750w or 800w psu. Will this be an issue with either card need helpp

You should have enough power, and of you don't have enough connectors you might be able to use molex connectors.

Getting a PSU with dedicated 12v 6-pin connectors would be much better.

Just got home opened up my pc and all i see avaliable from the PSU is a 6pin and its only a 400w ATX PSU.

If you want to upgrade to a better card you'l probably want to upgrade your PSU to a nice 550-600W with decent 12v rails.

As requested above, you'll probably need a new PSU. At the moment there are some nice ones on sale..

600 watts is all that is needed for the 280x.

I run the 280X with a CX600M and it runs fine!

You'll really like the graphics quality too. The 280X is a solid card for the money IMO.
