Video card upgrade

Hello, this is my first post and I'm looking to find some information. I just can't decide on what video card I should get. First, let me tell you about my setup. Just built about 4 months ago. Windows XP Home, ECS L4VXA2 motherboard, Intell Pentium 4 [email protected], 512 DDR RAM, and an old NVIDIA GeForce4 MX420 from my last computer. I don't do alot of gamming but I do watch videos and movies often. When I do play games, I have some Tom Clancy Rainbow Six games, Ghost Recon will not even play with the setup I have now. Also, videos/movies can become quite choppy and sometimes even locks up (guessing that just might be windows though). And while on the internet, it seems to sometimes have problems and act slow. I mean, once a page has loaded (cable internet), scrolling up and down can be choppy sometimes. I'm looking for an AGP video card and would like to spend $30-$100, closer to $30-$50 would be better.

9600Pro or XT.

9800Pro would be even better should you find one.

i have a nvideo geforce 5500 and its good for gaming, and has great quality.... some of these are selling on ebay fo about $40US with shipping.

cool, thanks for the replies. I found a 9600Pro at newegg for $48. I was at Best Buy tonight and saw a Radeon X1300 pro for $120 (don't know much about it but it looked cool). I probably wouldn't need anything like that right? Or would there be a huge improvement over a $48 9600 Pro? If there would be a huge improvement, I might spend the extra $. If not, then I might just get the cheaper 9600 pro. Thanks

If you're going to spend $120, don't spend it at Best Buy, you'll get a lot better card for your money at NewEgg.

I figured that, just was wanting to see what they had. I'll only spend that much if it would be a major improvement over a cheaper $40-$50 card

LOL
sry thought that was funny. i always heard 9600pro's are really overclockable. i figured it was because they have the same voltage but are just underclocked 9600xt's? maybe...
