Video Card, Wattage, Compatible?

Hi, I just bought a Compaq Presario CQ5602F. It has 2gigs of ram, a 2.8ghz processor, and a useless integrated video card. I'm buying another 2gig stick of ram and I was wanting to get a new video card. I was checking the back of the computer and noticed its wattage is 250. I know most newer video cards take, at least, double that in most cases. I was wondering if any of you had any good suggestions. So far, I've found this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129091 which recommends a wattage supply of 300. Hope you can help. Thanks. I'll be happy to post more information if needed. :good:

That OEM power supply in the Compaq is 250W. But I doubt that it has anywhere near 250W on the 12V rail. You really need to upgrade the power supply to get a decent video card. That 2600pro is a pretty old card.

Man, I was hoping I wouldn't have to get a new power supply. What kind of power supply would you recommend for this Compaq?

Around $50 to $100 for the video card. I guess, it depends on how much the power supply and 2gigs of ram cost me. I want to try to stay under the $150-$200 range... I have a blown head gasket to replace. xD
