So... I have two GeForce 8800 GTX cards... one XFX card and this Foxconn card - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814186021
I currently have three Dell 22" widescreen monitors with two hooked up to the XFX card and one hooked up to the Foxconn card. They are all connected with DVIs. All three monitors currently run at 1680x1050.
Now, my plan is to add a 4th monitor to my setup (likely another 22" Dell since I can get them for cheap). I've tried connecting a 4th monitor to test with the remaining DVI head on the Foxconn but noticed that its only allowing my resolution on the 4th monitor to go to 1024x768 (this test monitor does support 1680x1050). My goal here is to get all monitors at 1680x1050.
Could this be a display setting I am missing to get the resolution to go higher on the last open head? Is it common for video cards to only support higher resolution on one head while the other head only supports lower resolutions? If so... that is completely lame.
I've tried playing with the monitor refresh rate to expose higher resolution but haven't had any luck.
Anyone familiar with this card or had this issue before?
