Video Card

I'm looking to buy a computer to run some 3D design software. The software manufacturer recommends a '256MB (or more) nVidia Quadro FX series' video card. I'm considering an HP, and the 'stock' video card option for the model I'm considering (HP Pavilion Elite d5200t ATX series) is '256MB NVIDIA GeForce 9300 [DVI, HDMI, VGA adapter]'. Are the 2 video cards comparable, or should I be considering something else?

Not really. The Quadro cards are better suited for your application as stated by the software manufacturer.

A good gaming card may not work well for what you need.
