Video driver issue

On my home computer, it always shuts off after about 2 hours and blue screens.

I knows its a video driver problem as far as i know

the blue screen error says something like th nksys.dll file is corrupt or something(cant member exact file name)

But like i said as far i know when looked it up before it said in was an nvidia driver issue.

I have downloaded the driver for my video card so many times and it still blue screens.

Anyone know how to fix this problem?
 
What Operating system and video card do you have?

Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.
 
Vista 32 bit or 64 bit?

What is the exact model of asus card do you have?

Also please download bluescreen view and post the results so we can get a look at your blue screen results.
 
i think its 64bit.

Ill get the exact model number tonight, i didnt have time to last night

and how exactly do i go about downloading the bluescreen screen shot

Ive been having this problem ever since i reinstalled vista onto my computer, been going on for about a year.


And while im on this post, i might as well ask this here instead of making a new thread, my other computer i have all of a sudden when i turn it on and comes to a black screen and says please insert boot media to continue, did my harddrive fail?

Follow that post above to download bluescreen view and post the results.

As far as the drive dying, its possible, but make sure all connections are tight. Might have to do some diagnostics.
 
ok i ran a differnt drive and the only one that pops up was from 2008.

These im having now are happening everyday this past year
 
If no information shows, then you haven't been having blue screens. Not sure what to tell you.
 
guess its a good thing i took pics with my phone.

i really dont think i do honestly. I even did a clean install of vista like 8 months ago, downloaded the drivers and its done that ever since
 
Then its sounds like its an issue with the video card itself. Did you try the procedure in the link I gave you?
 
Are you saying that if you leave your computer on for about 2 hours and NOT do a single thing on it,it just goes into the BSOD all by itself for no reason after 2 hours???
 
yes, if i leave the computer alone it does that, sometimes 2, 4, or even half a day. if i using it, it doesnt blue screen.

And yes i did try the link, no good
