Sorry if my questions are a little to ammature, but I have a question abouta problem with my monitor. I recently reformatted my hardrive. I had to reinstall many of the drivers. One I had to install was a video driver. Prior to installing this particular driver, the display on my monitor was all out of wack. Everthing was really huge. Now since I installed this driver, Somethings are still really big, somethings look normal, and others look really small. Any ideas as to what's going on?

well what video card do you have? and what os?

Did you download the latest video card drivers from the manufacturer?

Did you adjust the resolution in Display properties and settings?

that is a very good question, which brings me to another question. How did you know what drivers to install if you didn't know what your video card was? unless you had like a system restore type of thing?

and to find out how to get your video card type. right click my computer... choose properties click hardware tab click device manager expand the display adapters.

I was told by a computer technician to install all of the drivers that were listed under my model. Was this a bad idea

we need to know the make and model of the video card and the version of the driver you installed, the technician could have been right or he could have been wrong

Follow quiltface's advice and lets find out what video adapter you have installed at the moment. If you installed the wrong driver, most likely it wouldn't have worked because the install would have told you no device was found.
