video files

no they were avi files when i highlited each file it states they are avi files but they are lnk extensions. i wish i knew how to view them.
 
goto explorer and and highlight the C: drive. then try a search. use *.avi for criteria. maybe they are somewhere else.
 
agreed. Oh well. that was our best shot. Sometime its a bear. i don't have anything else. replys went well though. Fast.....

I tried to search *avi files in c drive and I didn't see the LNK files. I save these files to an external hard drive. You have any ideas how to view these videos or come across any ideas please let me know. I know i viewed them when they were avi files. These files originally was videoed from a web cam.
