I am useing ealplayer SP for just everything Audio and Audio CDs and any Audio files.

I did however try it for DVDs and it say it will work and I set the format in it for that and it does not work.

So I will keep it for Audio and get something for just Video. I tryed VLC but my mouse Smugs the screen when it is playing a video.

So I tryed K Lite pack and it wont install it says.
What is a good Video and DVD player for free.

And if you will tell me VLC then try to help me with it. When I am playing a video if I move my mouse you will see a big smear go across the screen?
 
Ok, how about the media player classic, plays anything....
and windows media player will play anything if you get that K lite pack installed, tell me whats the the problem and i will try to help.

I did try to install the windows media clasic home with K Lite pack.

And it told me that it can't install because a Registry key is missing. Then it stoped.

I can use the media player that is in win xp pro for just video files. But it wont play DVDs.
 
ah, the microsoft windows media player will play DVD's make sure you have the latest version its like 11 or something, i am 100 % sure that it will play DVD's.

i mean any decent player should play DVD's
also do you remember the specific error that you got from K-lite pack, perhaps there is a fix for it...
make sure you OS is up to date with all updates as well

I did want to ask you?

I have a Firewire going into my computer. Can I use windows media player 11 to open the Video sorce coming in?

Say if I connect my camara to my computer through Firewire Port can I watch the Video in windows media player 11?
