video help

I am going to convert some TV shows I have on my Hard Drive to MPEG 4 because it is a very good compresson encoder.
And I am going to keep my videos as 720x480 29.97 fps 128 kbps audio Bitrate 44.1 kHz freq 2. CH. audio.

I have three types of MP4 encoders and I don't know what would be good.

MPEG 4 DivX
MPEG 4 XviD
AVC H 264

I would say h.264, but since google dropped support of it (i say this for a reason, you will probably not use the internet to view the videos but if google is dropping it, they might know something about it), i would say DivX, the most used format out there would be best, (at least to the best of my knowledge)

Well, There are two DivX codecs; the regular MPEG-4 Part 2 DivX codec and the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC DivX Plus HD codec. My suggestion is choose Divx, which is the first choice of type for MPEG 4.
