I need to be able to change the name and number of my videos from my camcorder during import. I have Windows 7 and was wondering if there is a free program that will allow me to do this. For example I need to have all my videos renamed during import to be MSCN and then a starting number of 200. So the numbers need to be in chronological order starting at 200. I hope this makes sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THanks.

Irfanview is freeware. used for years and windows 7.
Basic editing, batch renaming with displacement.
You can hightlight rename say start at 2000 and rename each as 2000, 2010, 2020 and 2030. Handy when ya need it.
Might also want to look at the free pluggins for it.

You have to actually get the pictures or movies or what ever off the camera. put them in a junk or working directory. then start the program and you can rename from the 1 to the last as a displacement of your choice.
after starting the program then click on help. 'BATCH'
the info is there for renaming.
