video problem

im having a problem watching a video..they say to download the indeo 5 codec and i did but the playback like stutters..can anyone help me with this
 
try divx, sometimes if you have alot of background apps, WMP's pretty interface is a lil too much for some computers... try running Spybot or Ad-Aware, and something like Avast..... try to cut down on thoes background apps
 
definatly has nothing to do with background applications i have not many..i got no spyware on here..and how divx going to help when its encoded in indeo
 
indeo is a really pretty old coldec not really used anymore.. if so, its in older .avi files.. its mainly runs on mac os.. windows media n other players like vlc have trouble playing it.. ur best option is to convert it to another file type.. if that will help.
