C ctimes New Member Jan 1, 2021 #3 Thank you John. I tried updating the display adapter many times, to no avail. ATI Mobility Radion HD 4200 But I looked into the system, and found that this second hand laptop is older than I thought, 2009. And it still needs to upgrade to SP1 Should I upgrade? Might upgrading help my display adapter?

johnb35 Administrator Staff member Jan 1, 2021 #4 Here is the latest driver for that. Its still dated 2013 but it is the latest. https://www2.ati.com/drivers/legacy/13-9-legacy_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc_whql.exe . You might want to download and run Ccleaner to clean out your system. What browser are you using? Also download and run Malwarebytes to scan for malware.

C ctimes New Member Jan 2, 2021 #5 i followed the link, had to search for my driver, download and installed ATI mobility radeon HD 4200 but my online streaming videos still go from working to black, and once they are black, the only fix is a computer restart

C ctimes New Member Jan 2, 2021 #6 ok. fixed. I had downloaded Avast a few days ago. So today, I uninstalled Avast, and now streaming videos work fine again. I know I should download and run malwarebytes and Ccleaner. Will do that soon. Also I will need a different firewall and antivirus program. Thanks very much John. Last edited: Jan 2, 2021

C ctimes New Member Jan 3, 2021 #7 is Malwarebytes the same as an antivirus scanner like Avast or AVG?
johnb35 Administrator Staff member Jan 4, 2021 #10 No, OTL is the replacement for it. Hijack this doesn't show near enough information.
