videocard issue

earlier today i installed new heatsink fan but after my gpu is not displaying on both my monitors tried both dvi ports and with vga cord GPU is 260GTX?
 
Be more specific. which heatsink did you install? Does the monitor give a no signal message?
 
i need help

screen still says not connected when i boot while video card is plugged into monitor no bios display and motherboards post code says ff for fully functional i believe and motherboard is also vga 750i ftw
 
yes

monitor says not connected and orange light stays on heatsink is artic freezer pro 7 i believe socket 775 btw gpu was displaying fine b4 i put the new heatsink in and heatsink work just no display

Wait, did you install a video card or cpu heatsink? Also, try plugging the monitor into another port, sometimes they are fussy.

Also: did you plug in the pci-e 6 pin cable to the gpu?

gpu i tried both of my dvi ports and nothing i had gpu working b4 cpu heatsink i installed but wasnt trying to mess with anything to disrupt

If you have onboard video have you tried testing with that?

Have you tried a different video card if you have one?

Different cable, different monitor?
 
tried two different monitors tried vga port on monitors no display dont have extra pci e 16 card no onboard video on this build
 
ok i unconnected different power cords like sata power and stuff to see if that was the case and tried to push on the ones in my hard drive i think those are fine but i removed the cpu heatsink and re installed it to make sure the cpu is placed right so also i reset bios in the inside of my board i tried taking the cmos battery out for good 5 minutes putting it back in and still nothing im not happy i really dont think my video card is to blame tho reason why i say that is because it was working fine yesterday b4 i even got this new heatsink and installed it btw i reconnedting the 8 pin power connector to motherboard i pressed on the 20/24 pin power connecter to motherboard it was in that so good i could move it so far i just dont know what the problem is im really about to give up at this
 
question bout video card

ok umm i havent tried my second pci express 16x slot imma try that to make its not motherboard
