Videocard question...

Well I got this dude telling me that my videocard is perfectly fine running at 70C-75C while just browsing the internet.

Correct or incorrect? I feel no where near comfortable running my card there even while gaming.
 
My GPU 8800 gts 320mb works at around 70c while surfing the internet also, it is abit hot, not to sure what the problem is.
 
Most GPUs have a very high threshold they can run at. Once you go beyond that safe range, the card should underclock or something to protect itself. 70*C isn't terrible, but it could be improved... I think my 7600GT averages around 54*C normal use and around 70*C in games.
 
mines ran 70c while in 3dmark06 so it'll probably be lowered when searching for porn or something...
