vidoe drivers = no sound

i built a cheap computer for a friend.it has a asrock 4 coredaul-sata2 R2.0, vista 32bit home premium and a Evga geforce 9500 gt. when i load the evga drivers i don,t get any sound.any thoughts?

Why would the EVGA video card drivers have anything to do with the sound? Go here and download and install the Audio drivers.

i have not idea.it took me all day to figure it out.got the sound drivers installed already.mobo disk has all the drivers on it.during windows updates it installed nivida drivers and then i get no sound.uninstall them i get sound.install them from the disk that came with the v card = no sound.uninstall them i get sound.tried the devise manager.said error code 10.looked that up and told me nothing of use either!

Uninstall the windows based Nvidia video drivers and install them from here.

on asrocks site there is a s**t load or bios patchs for ati cards but squat for nvidia!

i had windows build a driver in device manager and it still did not work.

With the sound drivers installed try installing the Microsoft HD audio bus driver.
