virtual machine's and licencing

Hi guys hope you can help me on this one, i have had windows xp home oem running on the comp in my sig for a few years, i have now got and installed windows vista (hp64) oem, my question is would the licence allow me to install my spare xp disk as a virtual machine on vista mainly for testing and what not, or would this be unaceptable?

I understand that you want to run VM on Viste and install your XP Home on the VM?
If you have license for the XP you can do that.

hi sorry for the late responce, yes your right i rang microsoft and they gave me a new activation code to enter. I was just worried in case they counted a vm as a second computer and as i had already had it installed on the host, i didnt know where this would leave me. Anyhoo seems they dont so that is fine.
