2. initial-372,max-744
3. 236 mb
4.free-19.1GB used-18.1GB

Yeah, your hard drive's pretty full, Ram is pretty low too but should be fine. Question, have you ever been able to play games (or particular game) on this system? or did it just stop recently? If you never, it could be your hardware.

Just as a side note, in the earlier days of Win 95 and 98 I found I sometimes had to change my hardware accelerator to get games or programs to work. Doesn't seem to happen so much since I built my XP2200 3 yrs ago.

Well it possiable when you playing game you going over 1GB of ram and the max you can use is 256+744 (a little less then a gig). Try changing the virtual memory setting to initial 1024 and the max to 2048. I think you might have to reboot the computer after making the change.

EDIT

Also I would like to note if you added at least anouther 256ram to your computer it would help alot.

it will also help if you clean up your hdd. a hdd that full you won't be able to boost your virtural ram. virtural ram uses the hdd. clean up your hdd. try to recalm at least 8 gb of hdd and that will help with the memory problem.

Maybe am missreading but I understood his responce to say he had 19.1 GB free. That plenty to avoid problems even after virtual memory take as much as 2GB of it.
