Virtual memory?

Often when running games i get one of those little yellow information bubbles in the bottom right hand corner of the screen saying windows is trying to expand the amount of virtual memory.

Would increasing the amount of ram i have fix this? i currently have 256mb

for a start i dont think you have 256 megs of virtual memory but 256 megs of ram. i do believe that increasing your virtual memory settings would prevent this happening, personally i would let windows manage the size sp that i dont have to worry about it
