VIRUS----amvo.exe

I had a hard time about (4) hrs trying to delete amvo.exe off of one of the computers here.

Thank god its gone now, but after doing some research it seems to have infected my system via Thumbdrive using the U3 software.

Anyone here have the same issue?

How did it affect your overall PC performance. Really, I am glad its gone now.

Well I msconfig alot and I saw it in there in my startup.


I also noticed that when I would open one of my partitions it would open in a new window. I thought that was a new SP3 thing but it wasn't.

Also, My on-board USB card reader was SLOWWWWW. It took 65 minutes to transfer 4GB of data off of a CF card. I tried another computer and it took 11 minutes.

It also affected my autorun.inf files so I was then of course unable to launch any of my drives including my C:


It's of course all well and over with now and my computer is working.
